My 3 year-old daughter has wanted a ’Little Mermaid’ dress for months, but I disliked most I found. I thought that they either looked impossible to move in, were very scratchy or just looked a little too "grown-up". I was thrilled when I got the dress. First, the material is GORGEOUS! You can’t tell from the picture, but the material is subtly marbled and has little golden flecks in it that makes it shimmer. Just beautiful!

Secondly, the seam where the skirt and ruffled "tail" meet has elastic in it, so my little girl can walk easily in it (but not run, but hey - it’s a mermaid dress)

Lastly, I really like how modest the top is. It’s a personal preference but I just don’t want my 3 year-old in a bra-like top or too much of her belly exposed. While I like this dress, my daughter loves it! It’s comfortable, beautiful and she is delighted to be a "real mermaid". She’s worn it daily since we got it.
